๐Ÿ’ฆ Cascade Falls ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Cascade Falls is one of the most accessible and beautiful waterfalls in Banff, located right at the foot of the majestic Cascade Mountain. It is a popular stop on tours, allowing you to easily enjoy the beauty of the mountainous landscape even on a short trip.

The waterfall is clearly visible from the town of Banff and from the access road. Water flows from a height of over 300 meters along the rocky ledges of the mountain, creating several cascades. The lowest cascade can be seen just a few minutes' walk from the parking lot.

In summer, water flows actively from snow and glacier caps, and in winter, part of the cascades turns into beautiful ice formations โ€” ice climbing training even takes place here.

Where Time Cuts Through Stone

Natural Bridge is one of the unique natural attractions of Yoho National Park, which is a must-see when traveling through the Rocky Mountains. This place demonstrates the power of water, which over thousands of years has carved its way through solid rock, creating a natural stone bridge over the turbulent Kicking Horse River.

After a short stop at the parking lot, you will see the Kicking Horse River roaring through a narrow rock passage. Here, the water forms a natural arch โ€” Natural Bridge. There are short trails and viewing platforms around the bridge, offering different perspectives on this geological phenomenon.

This location is ideal for a short stop, photos, and contemplating the power of nature. Natural Bridge is especially impressive during the spring snowmelt when the water level is particularly high.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Wild Water Adventures River Base ๐Ÿ’ฆ

๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™€๏ธ Rafting on the Kicking Horse River ๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™€๏ธ

Wild Water Adventures River Base is the starting point for one of the most exciting adventures in the Rocky Mountains: rafting down the turbulent Kicking Horse River. The base is located near the town of Golden (BC) and provides a complete rafting experience, from instruction to the provision of all necessary equipment.

At the base, you will be met by experienced instructors who will conduct a safety briefing and prepare you for the trip. Here you will receive everything you need: wetsuits, helmets, life jackets, and paddles.

After the briefing, the group will head to the starting point of the rafting trip on the Kicking Horse River, where the real water adventure begins.

After the rafting trip, participants return to the base, where they can change clothes, view photos from the tour, and share their impressions.

Let the Roar Wash Your Thoughts Clean

Wapta Falls is one of the most powerful waterfalls in Yoho National Park, offering a completely different experience from the high cascades. Here, the main force is not the height, but the massive volume of water that falls with a roar from a height of 30 meters, forming a wide water curtain that is especially beautiful in the summer season.

Wapta Falls is located in the lower part of the Kicking Horse River.

There are several viewing points on the approach to the waterfall, and closer to the base, you can get almost to the water wall itself, where you can feel the powerful energy of the river.

Wapta Falls can be easily combined with a day trip to Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, Takakkaw Falls, and other beauties of Yoho.
