๐ง๐ง๐ง Peyto Lake ๐ง๐ง๐ง
Peyto Lake is one of the most photographed and famous natural locations in Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies as a whole. Its unique shape, reminiscent of a wolf's head, and bright turquoise water make this place an icon of Canadian nature.
After a short climb from the parking lot (about 500 meters of trail with a slight incline), the famous panorama opens up from the Bow Summit Viewpoint. Before you is the incredibly turquoise water of the lake, created by minerals brought by glacial streams.
The lake is especially beautiful in the summer when the glaciers are actively melting and the sunlight intensifies the rich color of the water.

๐ฆ๐ฆ Abraham Lake ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Abraham Lake is an artificial mountain lake that has become one of Alberta's most famous natural locations thanks to its unique ice bubbles in winter and incredible panoramas in summer. Here you will see an unusual combination of wild nature and stunning photo locations.
The lake is located along David Thompson Highway (Hwy 11), between Banff and Jasper, slightly off the classic tourist routes, making it a true โhidden gemโ for travelers.
In summer:
๐ Crystal clear turquoise water
๐ Huge panoramas of the Rocky Mountains and open spaces
๐ธ Excellent photo stops at almost every turn of the road
In winter, it turns into a unique world-class photo location thanks to frozen methane bubbles under the ice. It is one of the most popular places for photographers from all over the world.

๐ฆ Crescent Falls and Bighorn Canyon๐ฆ
Crescent Falls is one of the most picturesque natural locations in central Alberta, combining a powerful two-tiered waterfall and breathtaking views of Bighorn Canyon. Here, nature looks as wild and untouched as possible โ the perfect spot for outdoor activities and vivid photos.
The main viewing platform is easily accessible from the parking lot โ just a few minutes' walk away. From here, you can see the two cascades of Crescent Falls, where water falls from a height of about 30 meters into a narrow canyon-like gorge.
For more active groups, there is an easy hike along the canyon (5.3 km round trip) with a gradual descent to the bottom of Bighorn Canyon, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the waterfall in all its glory.

๐ Bow Lake Viewpoint ๐
Bow Lake is one of the most famous glacial lakes along the famous Icefields Parkway. It is a must-see for anyone traveling between Banff and Jasper, as it offers the perfect view of the Rocky Mountains: calm turquoise water, glaciers, mountains, and a huge sky.
The lake is located right next to the road, allowing for a quick stop for photos or a short walk along the shore. The main photo spot is the view of the lake with Crowfoot Mountain and Bow Glacier, which feeds the lake, in the background.
On calm, sunny days, the lake's water turns into a mirror reflecting the mountains and sky โ a perfect postcard shot.
